Author MCP — build your docs out loud

You can now edit and publish your Docsio docs from Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Antigravity — any MCP-capable agent. Generate a token, paste it into your AI tool's config, and your whole docs site is editable in natural language.

What you can do

  • Talk to your docs in plain English. "Update the quickstart with the new 30-second flow," "add a page on the streaming API," "scrape our changelog and turn it into release notes." Your agent reads the current pages, drafts the changes, and shows you the diff before anything goes live.

  • Skip the dashboard entirely. Once connected, you don't need to open Docsio to ship a doc update. Useful for engineers who already live in their IDE.

  • 17 tools out of the box. Read pages, write pages, create + delete + rename, search, scrape external URLs, list project structure, get unpublished diffs, publish on command, and more.

  • Writes stay in draft. Nothing your agent does goes live until you (or it, on your say-so) call publish. The live site is always safe.

  • Per-project tokens, revocable. Each token is scoped to a single Docsio project. Revoke any time from project settings.

How to turn it on

Open your project → Settings → MCP → Author MCP → Generate token. We give you copy-paste config snippets for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, and Antigravity. Drop the snippet into your AI tool's config and you're live.
